Attended the 2026 Calgary Police Service Cyber Summit this past week. Another amazing conference. One thing that I think really advances this conference (I believe it is the 5th or 6th time held – every 2 years) is the increasing inclusion of the private sector to attend. As noted numerous times during the conference, the importance of the private sector partnering with LEAs is paramount to moving cybercrime investigations and analysis forward. Very much looking forward to the conference in 2028!! Also very pleased that my wife and business partner in Cybercrime Analytics Inc. could attend – her first CPS Cyber Summit attendance, and she is keen to attend the next one as well. Excellent work by Inspector Lalande and his team for putting this together, and a huge shoutout to Rey Bangloy who did another outstanding job as MC…Gotta love those t-shirt cannons too!!
