The Internet of Things (IoT) is everywhere. It is in our homes, vehicles, buildings, manufacturing lines, and incorporated into nearly every smart device we own.
While there are many advantages provided by IoT, equally, there are many threats to our security and privacy that can occur if hackers can gain access to our IoT devices.
All users of technology (UoT) must remain vigilant in incorporating IoT devices into their lifestyles – from refrigerators and coffee machines, to medical monitoring devices used to control our well-being.
For those devices we cannot control, such as installed in our vehicles, just being aware of abnormal activities can often be enough to realize our IoT controlled devices may have been hacked.Beware the IoT!!
