“Employees are unknowingly inviting tech support impersonators into firms, says FBI” is the title of journalist Howard Solomon’s latest article for CSO Online. His article, which he graciously interviewed me for, along with other experts in cybercrime prevention, details a practice by cybercriminals by a gang calling themselves The Silent Ransom Group (SRG). It is a fascinating read when you consider the scam they successfully pull off…almost unbelievable that this scam works in this day and age of cybersecurity. This article highlights the importance of continued and updated education for all employees at all levels in an organization.
